FTTH Council Releases its European Fiber Rankings

I’m in Paris attending the Broadband World Forum, where the FTTH Council--a non-profit industry organization made up of manufacturers, vendors, non-profits and academia--today released its latest European rankings…they fall more or less in line with Strategy Analytics’ rankings, published several weeks ago.  Like us, FTTH Council sees the Nordic and CEE countries leading the charge in the European market.

FTTH Council’s rankings:

1) Sweden

2) Norway

3) Slovenia

4) Andorra

5) Denmark

6) Iceland

7) Lithuania

8) Netherlands

9)Slovakia

10) Finland

Notably absent from the rankings are Europe’s big players, including France and Germany—the broadband leaders of the region.  Our own research confirms strong growth in overall European Fiber, with a five year CAGR of 47% expected.
